Environmental Sociology
A critical analysis of the interactions between society and the environment with a specific focus on the problems of climate
breakdown and environmental racism. Case studies of Indigenous Peoples’ resistance are explored. Topics may
include relevant social theories, current environmental issues on Turtle Island, and the social construction of risk and
environment.
Prerequisites: SY389 (or SY387 or SY388).
